Organization Structure
At Cranston Ridge Medical Clinic we strongly believe that all members of staff deserve the same high level of respect and dignity independently of their role and function. We believe that every single member of our staff is a fundamental piece of a great puzzle that allows us to offer the highest standards of and access to healthcare.
For these reasons, we support the vision that the organization of the clinic should be represented as either linear or as a structure that needs the equal and even support in order to stand, such as a table. Below, you will be able to find a couple of diagrams that will help you to understand how our human resources philosophy inspires the culture and organization of the staff at CRMC.
Each member of staff is responsible for a specific and fundamental contribution to the common goal, which is the provision of healthcare services to the patient. All roles are equally important and cannot be differentiated in a pyramidal hierarchy like in most other enterprises and commercial organizations. A medical office assistant will not be able to be employed without a family physician, a nurse practitioner or a registered nurse offering services to their clients. In the same manner, a family physician or nurse practitioner or registered nurse will not be able to run their panel or list of patients without a clinically trained medical office assistant. None of these, however, will be able to run the business side of the clinic without the support and guidance of the clinical manager who makes the decisions needed to run the business in a legally and professionally compliant fashion. On the other hand, the clinical manager does not manage any clinic without all the other professionals working in synchrony and harmony.
In other words, each member of staff is completely useless without all the other members. Therefore, a doctor is not more important than a registered nurse or a medical office assistant and vice versa. All deserve the same level of respect and dignity not only as human beings but also because it would not be possible to deliver safe, legal, and professional high standard healthcare services without one of these team members.
Another example is the even support structure. A table will not stand firmly and safely with even one of its four legs missing. So it is for the delivery of healthcare services.
